Our broodmare band is heavily influenced by Sugar Bars, Three Bars, and Doc Bar. We also have Driftwood, King, Poco Bueno, and Doc's Lynx breeding. Each of our mares have been, at a minimum, started under saddle. Some have been shown, ranched on, and/or rodeoed on before becoming a broodmare at the VLW Ranch. We like to do this so we know how athletic and trainable they are. Anything that is not trainable is culled from the band. In other words, all our mares have "earned" their place in our band.
